>> HISTORY
It is our aim to instil a love of History in all our children. The study of history ignites childrenās curiosity about the past in Britain and the wider world.
Through finding out about how and why the world, our country, cultures and local communities have developed over time, children understand how the past influences the present. What they learn through history can influence their decisions about personal choices, attitudes and values. Our sequenced curriculum will develop knowledge, skills and understanding by ensuring that pupils gain historical perspective by placing their growing knowledge into different contexts, understanding the connections between local, regional, national and international history; between cultural, economic, military, political, religious and social history; and between short- and long-term timescales.
