Year 5 Students Explore Culinary Creativity in Design and Technology

Kingfisher School’s Year 5 students are diving into an exciting culinary adventure as part of their Design and Technology curriculum. This year, the focus is on the iterative design process, with a unique and delicious project: designing and creating their own Spaghetti Bolognese.

This hands-on experience is more than just a cooking lesson. It offers students the opportunity to develop valuable skills such as food preparation, recipe design, and the iterative process of refining and improving their creations. By engaging in this project, students learn the importance of planning, experimenting, and adjusting their techniques to achieve the best results.
